In just 12 years, the BJN group has established a successful chain of multi-cuisine restaurants that have served up a culinary feast to food lovers across India. The group was founded in 1998 by P.B. Nichani (PBN), a visionary whose dream was to set up a chain of fine dining restaurants across India. PBN dug deep into his personal capital to pursue his dream. The group’s first taste of success came with Angeethi, the `asli dhaba’. Since then, there has been no looking back, and the group today has 23 brands of 40 restaurants in the six cities. All the restaurants have attracted steady footfalls and have a loyal costumer following. In 2005, the BJN Group achieved a turnover of Rs 36 crore. It today has 2,000 employees. The group owes the success of its restaurants to its innovation and a strong emphasis on quality and authenticity of cuisine. It is the only Indian chain that extends its restaurant brands to the Pan-India Level. The BJN Group’s motto is `Khao, Piyo, Jiyo’, and it has redefined the rules of the Indian F&B industry. It has come a long way from a standalone one-restaurant company to a multi-restaurant, multi-cuisine group. The BJN Group also operates the Museum Inn hotel and has big plans going forward. The group plans to foray into food processing, packaged food, institutional catering, banqueting facilities, outdoor and airline catering, quick-service restaurants, food courts and malls.
